Corrections especially. If something here is wrong, we would much rather hear it than have a reader follow it.

What we are good for
- Corrections. A wrong specification, a dead link, a citation that does not say what we claim it says. Please include the page and what you believe is wrong. See our corrections policy.
- Questions about a pick. Particularly whether a canner fits your stove — that is the question we built a whole calculator for.
- Something broken on the site. A page that will not load, a link that goes nowhere.
What we cannot help with
- Whether a specific jar is safe to eat. We cannot assess that remotely and it would be irresponsible to try. If you have any doubt about a jar, do not taste it — see botulism and home canning for how to handle it, and contact your state extension service or a local health department.
- Approving a modified recipe. We are not a testing body. Use a tested source — how to find safe canning recipes explains how to judge one.
- Sponsored placements and product submissions. We accept neither. See our affiliate disclosure.
