What we collect, what we do not, and what happens when you click an affiliate link.

The short version
We do not ask you to create an account, we do not run a newsletter, and we do not sell data. The only personal information we ever hold is what you type into the contact form, and that arrives as an email.
What we collect
Contact form
If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, topic and message you enter. That is delivered to us as email through Microsoft Graph and kept in our mailbox so we can reply and, where you have reported a correction, act on it. We do not add contact form addresses to any mailing list.
The form carries basic anti-spam measures: a hidden field that only automated submitters fill in, a timing check, and a short-term per-address rate limit held in memory. None of it identifies you and none of it is stored beyond the request.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which buy buttons are clicked. It sets cookies and collects standard web analytics data including approximate location, device and browser type, pages viewed and referring site. We use it in aggregate — we are looking at which guides are useful, not at individuals.
We record an event when an affiliate link is clicked, containing the merchant, the destination and the page it was clicked from. It does not contain anything about you.
Google’s own handling of that data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. You can prevent it entirely with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or an ordinary tracker blocker, and the site works exactly the same without it.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard server request data such as IP address and user agent in the ordinary course of serving pages.
Affiliate links
When you click a product link, you pass through a redirect on this domain and are then sent to the retailer with our Amazon Associates tracking ID attached. The retailer sets its own cookie so a purchase can be attributed to us.
We never see who you are or what you bought. What we receive from Amazon is aggregate reporting: numbers of items and commission totals, not customer identities. Once you are on the retailer’s site, their privacy policy governs. See our affiliate disclosure for how the commercial relationship works.
What we do not do
- Sell, rent or trade personal information
- Run advertising networks or retargeting pixels
- Require an account or a login to read anything
- Operate a mailing list
- Knowingly collect information from children under 13
Cookies
The cookies on this site come from Google Analytics. There are no advertising cookies. Blocking cookies in your browser, or using a tracker blocker, does not affect your ability to read anything here.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. In practice, the only thing we are likely to hold is a contact form message you sent us.

Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
